Inconel 718 Wire has a wide range of applications in the chemical industry, mainly due to its excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature performance. The main components of this alloy include nickel (50-55%), chromium (17-21%), molybdenum (2.8-3.3%), aluminum (0.20-0.80%) and titanium (0.65-1.15%), and the combination of these components makes it perform well in high temperature and corrosive environments. The physical properties of Inconel 718 Wire include density 8.24 g/cm³, melting point 1260-1320℃, tensile strength of at least 965 MPa, yield strength of at least 550 MPa, and elongation of at least 30%.
In the chemical industry, Inconel 718 Wire is widely used to manufacture various high temperature and corrosion resistant equipment and pipelines, such as chemical reactors, catalyst carriers, heat exchangers, etc. Its corrosion resistance makes it excellent in handling strong acids, alkalis and other corrosive media, extending the service life of the equipment and reducing the frequency of maintenance and replacement. In addition, the excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of Inconel 718 Wire enables it to effectively prevent the formation of an oxide layer in a high-temperature air environment, and a dense chromium oxide film can be quickly formed on the surface, further improving its corrosion resistance, making it suitable for long-term work in high-temperature and corrosive atmospheres.

For example, at 600°C, the conductivity rises to 7.5 × 10^6 S/m; at 850°C, the conductivity further rises to 8.2 × 10^6 S/m.
  • High strength and high toughness: The tensile strength of Inconel 718 at room temperature is about 1400 MPa, the yield strength is about 1150 MPa, and the elongation is about 25%. At 700°C, its tensile strength can still be maintained above 600 MPa, and the yield strength is about 350 MPa.
  • Corrosion resistance: Inconel 718 performs well in a variety of corrosive environments, including oxidizing, reducing and salt spray environments. Its corrosion resistance is particularly outstanding in corrosive environments containing chloride ions.
