Product Introduction
CuNi14 wire, or copper-nickel alloy wire with 14% nickel content, is a metal material with excellent performance. It is composed of 86% copper and 14% nickel, has a high resistivity of about 0.49 μΩ·m, a temperature coefficient of resistivity between -50 and +50 ppm/°C, and can maintain a stable change in resistance value within a temperature range of 20°C to 100°C. This alloy wire has a tensile strength of 310 MPa, a yield strength of 145 MPa, an elongation of 25%, and a density of 8.9 g/cm³.
CuNi14 wire has good corrosion resistance, welding performance and processing performance, and is widely used in shipbuilding, aerospace, electronic appliances and other fields. For example, it is used in seawater piping systems of ships, connections of precision parts in aerospace, and wires of electronic equipment. It is also commonly used to manufacture heating resistor elements in low-voltage electrical appliances such as thermal overload relays and low-voltage circuit breakers, and as a key material in high-precision resistors and measuring instruments.

Specific Applications
- Precision resistors: CuNi14 alloy is very suitable for manufacturing high-precision resistors and potentiometers due to its stable resistivity and low temperature coefficient. These components are used in electronic equipment to accurately control current and voltage.
- Low-voltage electrical appliances: Commonly used in low-voltage electrical products such as low-voltage circuit breakers and thermal overload relays, ensuring the reliability and stability of these devices in various environments.
- Heating elements: The low resistivity of CuNi14 alloy makes it an ideal material for manufacturing heating cables and heating elements, suitable for applications requiring precise temperature control, such as building heating and industrial heating systems.
- High-temperature sensors: In aerospace equipment, the high-temperature stability and high fracture toughness of CuNi14 alloy make it an ideal choice for manufacturing high-temperature sensors and resistance elements, ensuring reliability and safety in extreme environments.
- Marine monitoring equipment: Sensors and resistance elements used in marine monitoring equipment ensure accuracy and reliability in harsh environments.
- High-temperature pipes and containers: In chemical equipment, CuNi14 alloy can withstand high temperatures and high pressures, and is suitable for manufacturing important components such as pipes, containers and sensors, ensuring long-term stability in corrosive environments.
- Corrosion-resistant pipes: Used to manufacture corrosion-resistant pipes and fittings to ensure long service life in chemical media.
Advantages and Characteristics
- High tensile strength: The tensile strength is usually above 310 MPa, and the elongation is maintained above 30%, indicating that the alloy has good plasticity and can produce a certain deformation under stress without prone to brittle fracture.
- Stable high temperature performance: The heat resistance limit of CuNi14 alloy is as high as over 300℃. Even at extremely high temperatures, it can maintain the stability of its resistance and is suitable for applications in high temperature environments.
- Good processing performance: CuNi14 alloy has good plasticity, especially when drawn into wires and tubes, it can achieve more precise dimensional control. Through appropriate heat treatment methods, such as solution treatment and aging treatment, the microstructure of the alloy can be optimized and more ideal mechanical properties can be obtained.
- Good welding performance: CuNi14 alloy has excellent welding performance and can be connected by conventional welding methods. Welding will not significantly affect its electrical and mechanical properties. It is suitable for manufacturing complex electrical contact parts.
