Chemical Stable Invar 36 Wire Extremely Low Coefficient Of Thermal Expansion
Product Introduction
Invar 36 rod is an iron-nickel alloy bar with an ultra-low expansion coefficient. The main components include about 36% nickel and the balance iron, as well as small amounts of trace elements such as silicon, carbon, manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur. This alloy has an extremely low thermal expansion coefficient of about 1.2×10^-6/℃ in the temperature range of -250℃ to +200℃, which makes it almost dimensionally unchanged when the temperature changes. Invar 36 rod has good mechanical properties, including high strength and excellent tensile properties. Its tensile strength is usually around 448 MPa and its elongation is 35%. Invar 36 rod also has good processing properties and can be processed by processes such as cold working and welding to further improve its mechanical properties and surface quality. Its density is 8.1 g/cm³, its melting temperature range is 1430℃, and its Curie temperature is 230℃. Invar 36 rod is widely used in fields requiring high dimensional stability, such as precision instruments, aerospace, electronic packaging, etc. Typical applications include the production, storage and transportation of liquefied gas, measuring and control instruments with working temperatures below +200°C, spiral connector bushings between metals and other materials, bimetallic and temperature-controlled bimetallic, membrane frames, shadow masks, CRP component tempering molds in the aviation industry, and satellite and missile electronic control unit frames below -200°C.

Q&A
How is the dimensional accuracy of Invar 36?
Invar 36 can achieve higher dimensional accuracy through precision machining technology, usually reaching IT5-IT6 level, and is suitable for parts with high precision requirements.
How is the high temperature resistance of Invar 36?
The performance of Invar 36 will decrease in high temperature environment (over 400℃), but it still has good thermal stability and is suitable for some medium temperature range applications.
How is the low temperature resistance of Invar 36?
Invar 36 still maintains an extremely low thermal expansion coefficient in low temperature environment (-250℃), which is suitable for precision parts in low temperature environment.
What is the domestic corresponding brand of Invar 36?
The domestic corresponding brand of Invar 36 is 4J36, which belongs to the national standard GB/T 16452-2010.
